Royal Mail will issue a set of stamps and miniature sheet to commemorate the 60th wedding anniversary (on 20 November) of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
The Diamond Wedding anniversary stamp issue comprises of six conventionally gummed stamps showing HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh at a number of formal occasions while the Miniature sheet is composed of four stamps showing a variety of informal Royal Family shots and an exclusive new photograph of HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh by Lord Snowdon.
The self-adhesive Miniature sheet is a first for Royal Mail stamps. The four stamps are designed to look like four photographs randomly scattered on top of a pile of other Royal photos. The backing paper is printed in black & white with yet more Royal photographs.
